First-Gen Advisory Committee
About Us
The First-Gen Advisory Committee is committed to supporting all First-Generation College Students at Truman State University through providing resources and supporting our new First-Gen organization, First-Gen United. The Committee assists with various programmatic efforts to bring First-Gen Students together, such as the First-Gen Celebration, which occurs each fall. The committee also aims to provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff members to learn how to better support First-Generation College Students within their position.
